US state privacy laws — the CCPA/CPRA in California, and comparable statutes in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and elsewhere — require specific disclosures. Those are set out here, supplementing our Privacy Policy.

Categories and Sources

Applicable categories are identifiers (IP address, cookie and device identifiers), internet or other electronic network activity (pages viewed, referring URLs, session timing on budgetlearner.com), and — where volunteered — an email address. Collected from your device, and from analytics or advertising vendors where those are in use.

Is Data Sold or Shared?

There is no monetary sale of personal information. Where advertising is displayed, though, identifiers may be made available to ad partners, which under CCPA/CPRA and comparable state laws may count as a ‘sale’ or as ‘sharing’ for cross-context behavioural advertising. To opt out, see Do Not Sell or Share My Information. Data of under-16s is not knowingly sold or shared.

Exercising Your Rights

Rights include access to and confirmation of processing, correction, erasure, data portability, and the right to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising; and, in several states, appealing a refusal. There is no penalty for exercising them — service, pricing and access remain identical.

Submitting a Request

Email hello@budgetlearner.com and say what you want to do. For opt-outs specifically, the fastest route is to switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser — we detect and honour it automatically, with no message required. We will verify a request by replying to the address it came from, and respond within the period state law allows. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission.
